ARE YOUR THERAPY FEES COVERED BY OHIP OR ODSP?

Unfortunately no, OHIP and ODSP do not cover services provided by a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist. However, it is common for insurance providers to cover “social work” or “psychotherapy” service. Please check with your insurance provider, such as employee extended health benefits, automobile insurance, worker's compensation or WSIB, student's union insurance. etc.

Please check with your benefits provider regarding your personal coverage.

PLEASE NOTE:  If you want to see a Psychotherapist but only have coverage for a Psychologist or Social Worker, you can still have the therapy covered with the Psychotherapist as long as they are supervised by the regulated professional. Please inquire with our intake team questions you may have regarding coverage.

I KNOW MY INSURANCE COVERS YOUR SERVICES, BUT HOW DO I GET REIMBURSED FOR YOUR SERVICES THROUGH INSURANCE?

We can direct bill most of insurance company, or I will issue a receipt of service to you upon request, please make sure inform me in advance. You provide that receipt to your insurance provider, and they will reimburse you directly.
